This is the documentation for Enlighten.

Visualization services

Visualization Services are enabled in the Visualization Services panel on the Rendering tab. They are optional visualizations that show more detailed information from Enlighten to aid debugging and scene exploration.

The Duster Points, Projection Issues, and ProbeSets services are only available in scenes that have been successfully precomputed.

Occlusion

Filters the rendered scene based on occlusion from the viewpoint. This is enabled by default, but it can occasionally be useful to turn it off.

Light Animator

Provides authoring and playback controls for simple looping light animations.

Transparency Volumes

Filters the scene based on volumes for determining quad transparency on marked geometry.

Lighting Models

Internal debugging.

Cube Maps

Provides a visualization for authored cube maps.

Duster points service

Renders duster points (locations where the input lighting is sampled) into the scene as green lines.

Projection Issues

Overlays the scene, highlighting output pixels that have possible authoring errors.
Errors are highlighted in the following colours:

  • Cyan: Wing projection. 'Wings' are added to target charts, to cope with projections that are outside the target chart.
  • Red: Projection failure.
  • Yellow: Degenerates failure.

Pixel Viewer

Overlays the screen with colours to represent the selected pixel and buckets (internal debugging).

ProbeSets

Renders spheres coloured with probe set data into the scene.

RaySet Viewer

Renders ray data written out by the Geo::GeoRaySet interface.

Scene Explorer

Renders the scene. This is enabled by default, but it can occasionally be useful to it turn off.

Perf Stats

Displays live statistics as a graph onscreen and enables the Perf Stats tab.
